Frequently Asked Questions

How many passengers can you take?
While 2 adults, or 1 adult and 2 children are included in the regular fare, we can take a maximum of 3 passengers, or 450 lbs combined weight, with a $50 fee for a 3rd adult. If you're flying with young children, we recommend the 30 minute flight.

Is the cost of the flights per person?
No, the cost of a flight includes 2 adults. Children over 2 are invited along at no extra charge. We have a maximum of three total passengers, and 450 lbs combined weight. For a 3rd adult, we charge an additional $50 as there is more work in balancing the fuel load and pilot.

What if the weather is bad on my flight day?
If the weather is below operational minimal (3500' cloud base, 5KM visibility, >15 knots crosswind to the runway, heavy rain or thunderstorms), your pilot will call you to cancel and reschedule for another time.

What kind of plane is it?
Our Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft is the most common training aircraft in the world, designed for student pilots, so it is very stable with high wings for better photo opportunities. It is professionally maintained and features updated avionics, flown by experienced commercial pilots, making for a safe and secure experience.

What happens if I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible, as we prepare the plane, fuel load, and pilot specifically for your flight. To cancel or change a reservation, contact our office at (441) 516-3305. Please leave a message, or email us at reservations@blueskyflights.bm

Do you offer flight training?
While we're not yet able to offer flight training, we would be happy to take you up so you can see what it's like to fly in a small plane, hear the radio communication with ground and tower control, and even have the chance to try out the controls! We recommend the longer 50-minute flight to get the full experience. After your flight, our experienced commercial pilots can talk you through everything that's involved in flight training to become a pilot. This is the perfect introduction to general aviation before you commit to full flight training. Please contact us to learn more or schedule your time. We also have a qualified ground school instructor at the hangar, who runs classes year-round, so you can complete the ground portion of your training here in Bermuda. Contact Pete for more details, by phone at (441) 518-7282 or email.
